ABOUT

EXHIBITED WORK

I am drawn to the subtle beauty that exists in the world around us—the smaller stories that often go unnoticed as we walk down the street or take in a vast landscape. I am particularly fascinated by geometric patterns and organic symmetry, the quiet structures that shape our visual experience. My journey began with film photography, where I printed my own prints and cherished the tangible process. Though I was initially hesitant to embrace the digital world, I now consider photoshop my darkroom, using photographic images as a foundation for delicate manipulations that blur the line between photography and abstract painting. Through this evolving process, I strive to uncover the hidden dimensions within the ordinary.

In the series Formal Beauty, I use the American landscape as found art.  Scanning satellite images of midwestern farms, I distill the expansive scenes into crafted compositions. These designs reveal the geometric grace inherent in the structured patchwork of the land.
